Quick Update

Dear Loyal Listeners,

Hope you're all enjoying the spring weather that's blooming all over the United States!

I said over the air (and in my last blogpost) that the next tt&t is going to be this Thursday, the 25th. However, it won't be until the following Thursday, April 2nd (APRIL?! It's almost April?!). Working on a great show -- you won't want to miss it!

In other news, check out the new tt&t logo (to your right)! And look for the new wybcx website, coming soon, complete with DJ pages.

Until April, then.

Episode 3: Coming into One's Own

Dear Loyal Listeners,

Today's show was a bit of a fiasco, but luckily, one of my favorite episodes of This American Life is the fiasco episode, so I don't feel so bad. Every DJ needs a disaster show.

To make a long story short, the guys who had a show before me left the sound effects machine on, so I'm pretty sure it made me sound like a machine for the first few times I spoke (it has no "off" button! what kind of machine has no "off" button!). And, then, when someone came to fix it, they left the mic on while we were having a conversation about it -- over a lovely tune by Plume Giant (more below). UPDATE: IT WAS NOT AS BAD AS I THOUGHT! Well, you'll see.

So. While I usually won't edit shows between air and when I put them on this blog, I will this time. You can't really hear what I'm saying in the opening segment over the music, and I think you will still hear my voice as a machine at some points. But I fixed most of it. If you want to know what I say in that first part (the gist of it is pretty much that the theme is coming into one's own), let me know, and I will send it to you.

Here's the link to the edited show.

This week's show was about coming into one's own. The show's contents were as follows:
